Caribbean Christmas Dinner “Home Edition”- Saturday December 3, 2022

On Saturday December 3, 2022, the Guelph Black Heritage Society invites you to come out and enjoy the tastes of the Caribbean! We are unable to host our annual Caribbean Christmas Dinner & Dance, instead we are hosting the Caribbean Christmas Dinner “Home Edition”.  We plan on hosting the Dinner & Dance in December 2023!

We will be featuring food by Big Jerk Smokehouse.  Each dinner comes with rice & peas, coleslaw and cocktail festival! There are 3 options for the main: Fried Snapper, Jerk Chicken or Vegan (chickpea & callaloo).   You can also add on dessert and soup!! GBHS merchandise include Lantern Brew Coffee and Dream Makers Tea is also available.

The menu will include:

  • Fried Snapper Dinner – $45
  • Jerk Chicken Dinner – $40
  • Vegan (chickpea & callaloo) Dinner – $40
  • Mango Cheesecake – $7
  • Cup of Chicken Soup – $4

Pick up time will be December 3, 2022, from 3pm to 5pm at the Heritage Hall, 83 Essex Street.

Proceeds from the Caribbean Christmas Dinner will go towards the Give a Cup Capital Campaign.  The mission of the Give A Cup Campaign is freedom.  Free us from our mortgage so that we will be able to allocate additional resources towards our on-going #ChangeStartsNow Education Initiative. The #ChangeStartsNow Education Initiative provides educational programming on Black history and culture as well as relevant resources on diversity, discrimination and anti-racism.
